Taking Your Business Online

You have a passion for your business. You've lived and breathed it, investigated it, analyzed it and "what if'd" it. You have spreadsheets full of information for every possible scenario. Now you are ready to bring it to life.

For you, the Internet may be just one of many possible selling channels or it may be your sole means of obtaining orders. Either way, it can be a daunting undertaking when you are busy working on all the other tasks you must master to get your business off the ground.

We can help relieve the pressure.

There are many activities associated with building an online business. The steps to the right are a just high-level view of what it takes to bring your business online. We have already performed these steps many times, for companies large and small, across industries. We can work on these activities so that you can work on your business, and you can rest assured that this part of your business development is progressing smoothly.

Once the business has launched online, we can teach you how to operate it going forward, or if you like, we can continue to make it work for you while you focus your efforts elsewhere.

Pricing for setting up new businesses online begins at $5500 for marketplace setup plus $300 per month for Suite 280® Commerce software, hosting and support.

Let's Get Started!

What's the Plan?

These activities are typically required to set up a new online store. Some items may be performed simultaneously:

  • We get started.
  • We listen to the vision you have for your business.
  • Together we pinpoint requirements by reviewing and answering the questions in the Par Avance Marketplace Plan for New Businesses.
  • We model your products, customers, and ordering, fulfillment, and support procedures.
  • Together we create a strategy and schedule, allocate a budget, and identify measurements and benchmarks.
  • If we are helping you with your branding and site design, we begin these activities.
  • We obtain the server or assign shared server space.
  • We obtain the merchant and gateway accounts, domain name(s) and digital certificate(s).
  • We install all necessary hardware and software, and administer the marketplace system.
  • We configure the marketplace and administer or import product and customer information (if desired).
  • We develop any additional features, interfaces, or integration items required.
  • We coordinate and administer marketplace promotions to coincide with online and off-line communications, promotions and offers.
  • Together we test the marketplace, verify data, and run through end-to-end procedures for your business.
  • We baseline measurements and search engine information.
  • When our tasks are complete, we turn up the marketplace.

Next, depending upon your project stage or specific needs, we will focus on one or more of the following areas:

Learning how to do-it-yourself

Making it work over the long haul
